Connecting Cain to Moses, Moses to the two witnesses, and the two witnesses to God.

CONNECTING CAIN TO MOSES

Cain was cursed to be a wanderer and a fugitive. But we never see Cain endure this curse during the life of Cain. Moses endured this curse though. For forty years Moses was a fugitive after killing an Egyptian. Then for another forty years Cain was a wanderer, wandering the desert with the Jews he freed from Egypt. Just like how Cain founded a great city Moses founded a great nation.

CONNECTING MOSES TO THE TWO WITNESSES

Moses came down the mountain and after seeing the lewdness of his people out of anger Moses broke the tablets, foreshadowing his breaking of the law that would prevent him from inheriting the promised land. If the first time he came down the mountain foreshadowed his breaking of the law what about the second time he came down the mountain and kept the law and his face shown like the sun?

This clearly foreshadows the fact that Moses will return in the future. And the only ones prophesied to come who has not come yet are the two witnesses.

CONNECTING THE TWO WITNESSES TO GOD

See the parable of the tenants Mathew 21:33-46. Jesus makes it clear in this parable that God sent his son because there are no other servants to send (servants being prophets). And his son is God. Therefore the two witnesses cannot be mere prophets if there are no other prophets to send. They must also be God.

2 Thessalonians 2:6-8 speaks of a restrainer who holds back the lawless one. It is the holy Spirit that restrains lawlessness. It goes on to say that the lawless one will not be revealed until the restrainer is taken away. Revelation 11:7-13 paints a clear picture of the anti Christ not being revealed until the two witnesses are raised from death into heaven.

Revelation 11:12 describes the two witnesses ascending in a cloud. Mark 14:62 Jesus says we will see the sun of Man coming on clouds seated next to power. The son of Man is one witness and the source of power is the other witness. You might think this is referring to Jesus. Not so, revelation 19:11-16 refers to Jesus. Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey. Jesus returns on a horse. The two witnesses leave on a cloud. The two witnesses return on clouds.

CONNECTING JESUS AND ABEL

Jesus calls himself the son of Man. You might think this is not meant to be taken literally. Would you say the same is true about Isaiah 7:14 where it says that the Messiah will be called "God with us"? He also calls the one who comes on clouds son of Man. Man meaning Adam, they are sons of Adam, Cain and Abel.

Is it coincidence that the Jews suffered the same curse as Cain did after crucifying Jesus just like when Cain killed Abel? Is it coincidence that Christians are granted protection from death because of the sacrifice of Jesus just like Cain was granted protection from death after killing Abel?

CONNECTING CAIN TO GOD

Genesis 4:7 God commands Cain to rule over sin because he is the restrainer of lawlessness.

WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER WITNESS

So if Cain is one of the two witnesses then who is the other witness? Who is power? I'll tell you in my next post.
